How to Take Homeopathic Remedies for Sensitive People

There is always a way

If you are sensitive to homeopathic remedies, or prefer not to take them internally, there are different ways you can use a remedy. In this article, I introduce several approaches, including inhalation, olfaction, topical use, LM potency and the plussing method.

Sometimes I get asked, "Are there any other ways to use the remedy other than taking it internally?" There may be reasons why they cannot use alcohol, or they may be susceptible and worried about taking remedies.

Homeopathic remedies can be used in many ways other than taking them internally straightaway.

This blog will introduce ways to use remedies other than taking them simply internally.

#1 - Inhalation

You can prepare the remedy into a liquid, put it in a spray bottle, spray it around yourself, and breathe in the air. This method is simple and easy to use for those who cannot drink alcohol, those who want to avoid sugar intake such as sugar pills and tablets, and those who are sensitive to sugar.

However, people around you may also inhale it, so please make sure that you check your surroundings before using it. On the other hand, when you want to change the energy of a space, it may be a good idea to use a spray containing a remedy.

You can order sprayable remedies from homeopathic pharmacies.

#2 - Olfaction

Instead of taking the remedy, you can sniff it. Opening the bottle and smelling the remedy is another way to put that energy into your body. A liquid form would be easier to use.

There is also a way of olfactory method with LM remedies (see below).

#3 - Breast Milk

When it is difficult to give a remedy directly to a baby, some homeopaths may recommend an indirect approach through the mother. If this is being considered for a baby, it is important to discuss it with a qualified healthcare professional.

#4 - Skin

This is a method of applying remedies to the skin. You can put liquid remedies on the skin or creams that contain homeopathic remedies.

However, it is desirable to avoid using it in areas with pain or skin irritation.

#5 - Put in a bath

Related to the skin, you can also add homeopathic remedies to your bathtub and soak in them. However, there is a statement that sensitive people should avoid it. By immersing the entire body in the remedy for a certain period, a reaction may be stronger than expected.

#6 - Hold a remedy in your hand

This is a way to hold the remedy bottle in your hand for a while and share the energy you feel from it. As for how long you should keep it on, each person has a different feeling about it, so it's best to trust your intuition.

#7 - Leave it in the room

This is a way to place remedies in a room and share the energy in that space. There are ways to do this, such as keeping it next to your bed when you sleep, or keeping the remedy in front of you and meditating quietly, concentrating on feeling its energy. Everyone has different feelings about how long they should go, so it's best to trust your intuition.

#8 - LM potency

Some people report changes in their symptoms after taking a remedy. If you notice a significant or concerning change, seek appropriate medical advice rather than assuming it is a “healing crisis.”

This LM potency may be used for people who are sensitive to remedies or for cases where there is likely to be an excessive reaction after taking the remedy.

LM potency is a repeated step of diluting it to 1/50,000. Unlike ordinary remedies, it is a little more complicated to use, and the timing of changing potency and the pace of use vary depending on the individual's symptoms. We recommend using this potency under the advice of a homeopath.

#9 - Plussing method

There seem to be many variations, including adding the prescribed remedy to water and taking a spoonful of the liquid. Stir the liquid with a spoon before taking it. When it is stirred each time, the potency and vibration gradually change.

The following is an example of a plussing method described by Dr. Ramakrishnan. Methods and instructions can vary between practitioners, so this should not be taken as a general dosing instruction. Follow the instructions provided by the homeopath who prescribed your remedy.

Dr. Ramakrishnan's Plussing Method
  1. Add 3 tablets of the remedy to 11 spoons of spring water

  2. Take one spoonful of the remedy water prepared above every 15 minutes.

  3. After each drink, stir in the remaining liquid with a spoon, or shake the bottle once.

  4. It takes two and a half hours to finish drinking this, and I save the last spoonful for the next day.

  5. The next day, add the remaining spoonful from the previous day to 10 spoonfuls of spring water and repeat the same process as the last day.

  6. If there is a change in the prescription of the remedy, repeat the above process.

There are some variations between homeopaths, so please take it according to the instructions of the homeopath who prescribed it.

#10 - Conclusions...

As shown above, there are various ways of using a homeopathic remedy. Depending on your needs and preferences, some homeopathic pharmacies may also offer remedies in different forms, such as sprays or liquids.

The secret is:

There are many ways to use homeopathic remedies. If you are sensitive to remedies or feel unsure about taking them, there may be different approaches to consider.

Paying attention to how you feel and to any changes you notice after using a remedy can also be an opportunity to become more aware of your own experience.

The way a homeopathic remedy is used can vary depending on the individual, including their sensitivity, symptoms and circumstances. If you are unsure how to use a remedy or would like to talk through your own experience, a homeopathic consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your situation and consider whether homeopathy may be appropriate for you.
